Pune: MSEDCL Announces ₹120 Discount to Those Opting for E-bill
The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has launched a special New Year’s initiative to encourage customers to opt for its Go Green facility. As part of this eco-friendly initiative, customers who enroll to the facility will receive a one-time discount of ₹120 on their electricity bill.
Rajendra Pawar, Chief Engineer of MSEDCL’s Pune Circle, stated, “The Go Green facility aligns with the ‘Save Paper, Save Environment’ campaign by offering a monthly ₹10 discount to consumers who choose to receive e-bills instead of printed ones.
For the first year, new participants will enjoy a total of ₹120 off their electricity bill as an added incentive.”
Currently, only 4.62 lakh of MSEDCL’s 3 crore low-tension (LT) consumers have registered for the Go Green facility. To boost participation, MSEDCL will send SMS notifications to registered consumers, encouraging them to embrace this environmentally conscious initiative. By enrolling, consumers can immediately save ₹120 on their next electricity bill while contributing to environmental conservation.
