Pune: MSRTC to deploy 325 buses from Pune to Konkan for Ganeshotsav
Pune, September 03, 2024: Ganeshotsav is now just four days away and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has made extensive arrangements for passengers traveling from Pune to Konkan to celebrate the festival.
MSRTC has deployed approximately 5,000 buses from across the state, including 325 from Pune to Konkan. However all the 325 buses have already been completely booked online and MSRTC will deploy additional buses if there is a crowd at bus stations.
ST’s Detailed Planning:
- Online Booking: Passengers have actively booked their seats online.
- Group Booking: Some passengers have even arranged group bookings directly at the depot.
- Bus Schedule:
- Buses will begin their journeys to Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, and other Konkan cities from Wednesday.
- The majority of buses are scheduled to depart on Thursday, September 5th.
- On Thursday, 200 buses will operate from Swargate Station.

Pune Division Bus Allocation:
- Swargate Station: 250 buses
- Vallabhnagar Station: 75 buses
According to Pramod Nehool, Division Controller, ST Department, Pune, the Pune Division has planned to release the maximum number of buses for passengers wanting to travel to Konkan for Ganeshotsav. Additionally, buses from less popular routes will also be redirected to Konkan to meet the demand.
