Pune: Man Run Over by Speeding Car in Wagholi
A tragic hit-and-run incident in Wagholi claimed the life of a 47-year-old pedestrian on Sunday night (8th December). The deceased, Vishnu Hari Bhatorai, a laborer from Wadegaon, Taluka Shirur, was fatally injured when a speeding vehicle struck him near Katkewadi junction around 8 pm.
Bhatorai was walking with his friend, Lokbahadur Narbik, when the accident occurred. Severely injured, he was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The driver responsible fled the scene, prompting the Lonikand police to register a case against the unidentified individual.
A complaint filed by Narbik at the Lonikand Police Station has initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the driver. Authorities are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward to aid the ongoing probe.
