Pune: PMC hammers down illegal eateries and unauthorized construction in Kothrud
In continuation of its drive on illegal eateries and unauthorized construction, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) yesterday took action in Kothrud.
PMC’s Building Permission Department demolished illegal rooftop restaurants, tin sheds and other unauthorized construction in Kothrud area. In this operation, about 10349 sq. foot construction was demolished.

In the past few days, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has been very active in identifying and demolishing unauthorized structures across the city. This includes illegal pubs, hoardings, tin sheds and other unauthorized structures.
Recent incidents of hoarding collapses across the state and late night activities of pubs prompted the civic body to take this proactive approach.
