Pune: PMC Shares Traffic changes for Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi

Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Sohla is set to begin on Saturday, June 29, 2024. On this day, the Palkhi will depart from Alandi for the Ashadhi Wari. Due to this event, there will be traffic changes on the route from Alandi to Pimpri Chinchwad until June 30, 2024. Parking arrangements have been made in Alandi for the devotees’ vehicles.

The first halt of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s Palkhi will be at Gandhi Wada in Alandi. After that, the Palkhi will proceed towards Pune on Sunday, June 30, 2024.

Traffic Changes

The Chimbali to Alandi road will be closed. Vehicles from Chimbali Phata Chowk, Chakan to Alandi will be redirected via Jay Ganesh Samrajya Chowk and Alankapuram Chowk, as well as Bhosari Chowk-Magazine Chowk.
Vehicles from Chakan to Alandi will be redirected via Jay Ganesh Samrajya Chowk, Alankapuram Chowk, Bhosari Chowk-Magazine Chowk.
Vehicles from Vadgaon Ghenand to Alandi will be redirected via Chakan-Vadgaon Ghenand Shelpimpalgaon, Koyali Kaman, Koyali-Markalgaon routes.
Vehicles from Markal to Alandi will be redirected via Markal-Dhanore Phata, Charholi Phata-Magazine Chowk, Alankapuram Chowk.
Vehicles from Bharatmata Chowk to Alandi will be redirected via Jay Ganesh Samrajya Chowk, Alankapuram Chowk, Bhosari Chowk-Magazine Chowk, Moshi-Chakan-Shikrapur routes.
Vehicles from Moshi to Alandi will be redirected via Jay Ganesh Samrajya Chowk, Alankapuram Chowk, Bhosari Chowk-Magazine Chowk, Moshi-Chakan-Shikrapur routes.
Vehicles from Vishrantwadi to Alandi will be redirected via Pune-Dighi Magazine Chowk, Bhosari-Moshi-Chakan, Shelpimpalgaon routes, and Alankapuram-Jay Ganesh Samrajya Chowk.
All types of vehicles heading towards Alandi will be restricted beyond Charholi Phata Chowk, Dudulgaon Toll Naka, Kelgaon Chowk, Bapdev Chowk, Indrayani Hospital, Vishrantwadi, and Dhanori Phata/PCS Chowk.

These changes will be effective from Tuesday, June 25, 2024, until 9 PM on June 30, 2024, or until traffic normalizes.

Parking Arrangements for Devotees

Parking has been arranged at the following locations:

Talekar Patil Chowk (south side) – 3 acres and north side – 1 acre on Alandi-Dehu Road.
10 Gunthas near Dnyanvilas College, Dudulgaon Toll Naka.
4.5 acres at Bopdev Chowk.
9 acres in front of Indrayani Hospital (Chakan Road).
25 acres on Vishrantwadi Vadgaon Road.
1 acre in front of Muktai Mangal Karyalaya.
