Over a three-day period, from December 2 to December 4, the teams visited 154 defaulting properties, recovering an impressive ₹9,00,22,612 (Nine Crores Twenty-Two Thousand Six Hundred Twelve) in outstanding dues. As part of enforcement measures, 19 properties were sealed to ensure compliance.

Current Property Tax Scenario

PMC manages approximately 14.8 lakh properties in Pune. Out of these, 8,73,257 property owners have cleared their dues, contributing ₹1,798 crore to the municipal revenue. However, a significant portion remains unpaid, prompting PMC to continue its large-scale recovery operations.

Call to Action

The PMC has urged property owners with pending taxes to settle their dues immediately to avoid stringent actions, including property sealing. The timely payment of property taxes not only aids the city’s development but also prevents legal complications for defaulters.
