Pune: Rain and thunderstorm expected in the city between May 11 to 14

Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad (PCMC) are likely to experience rain thunderstorms from 11th to 14th May, according to the latest IMD-GFS forecast.

Vineet Kumar, a research scientist working on ocean-cyclone interaction and changes in cyclone activity globally, shared this information today.

The maximum temperature in Pune will remain between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius during this period, and a minimum of around 25 degrees Celsius.

For Mumbai city and suburbs, the local forecast for the next 24 hours predicts mostly clear skies. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 34°C and 26°C respectively.

In the state, Solapur recorded a scorching maximum temperature of 44.1°C, while Baramati reported the lowest minimum temperature at 20.5°C in the last 24 hours.

Marathwada and Vidarbha districts may experience thunderstorms at isolated places, accompanied by light rain and gusty winds at speeds of 30-40 kmph.
