Pune: Restaurants Offering 20% Discount to Voters on November 20-21, Check List of Participating Restaurants in Your Area
Pune, November 20, 2024: In a unique initiative to encourage voting in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) Pune chapter has launched the “Democracy Discount” program. Voters can avail a 20% discount on their total bill at over 60 restaurants in Pune on November 20 and 21.
To avail the discount, customers will have to produce their valid voter ID to proving Pune residency and proof of inked finger as proof of voting. The initiative aims to address the concern expressed by Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission Rajiv Kumar about the low urban voting rate and motivate young urban voters to actively participate in the democratic process.
“This initiative is designed to inspire young urban voters to participate in the voting process and celebrate our vibrant democratic system,” said Sally Jahagirdar, President, NRAI Pune Chapter to the media.
NRAI, which was founded in 1982, represents over 500,000 restaurants across India and works to promote and strengthen the Indian food service sector. The campaign aims to create awareness about the importance of democratic participation. Through the discount offer, NRAI wants to encourage young voters to exercise their right and raise their voice.
