Pune Ring Road: Groundwork Begins on 24.5 KM Stretch Linking Pune Nagar Road to Solapur Highway | Watch
Pune, December 2, 2024 — The long-awaited Pune Ring Road project, an important step towards easing Pune’s traffic congestion and boosting connectivity, has officially commenced. The groundwork on the 24.5 km Eastern Phase connecting Pune Nagar Road to Solapur Highway has begun.
Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd., the project’s first contractor, has established its base at Wadebolhai village near Kesnand. Over 100 pieces of heavy machinery have been deployed to accelerate construction on this ₹42,000 crore project, aimed at transforming the city’s infrastructure and economic landscape.
The initial phase of the groundwork was inaugurated with a traditional machinery pooja, attended by dignitaries such as Mr. Ameet Gadhoke, Managing Director of Roadway Solution Infra; B.K. Singh, Director of Roadway India Infra; and local leaders including Kunal Gupta and Vishal Ghule Patil. Villagers also joined the ceremonial start, showcasing local support for the project.

“The Pune Ring Road, spanning 170 km and divided into four phases, will revolutionize regional connectivity and pave the way for Pune’s future growth,” said B.K. Singh, who also confirmed the official groundbreaking is scheduled post-December 5, 2024.
With the groundwork progressing, the city anticipates a game-changing improvement in its transport network within the next few years.
