Pune: Special Trains Announced for Maha Kumbh Mela
Central Railway has announced the operation of special trains for the Maha Kumbh Mela, facilitating travel between Pune and Mau. The details for these special trains are as follows:
Train Schedule and Halts:
Train No. 01455 (Pune to Mau):
- Departure: 10:10 AM from Pune
- Arrival: 10:00 PM (next day) at Mau
- Dates of operation: January 8, 16, 24, February 6, 8, and 21, 2025
Train No. 01456 (Mau to Pune):
- Departure: 11:50 PM from Mau
- Arrival: 4:45 PM (next day) at Pune
- Dates of operation: January 9, 17, 25, February 7, 9, and 22, 2025
Halts En Route:
The trains will halt at the following stations:
Daund Chord Line, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Talvadiya Chhanera, Khirkiya, Harda, Banapura, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Cheoki, Mirzapur, Chunar, Varanasi, Shahganj, and Azamgarh.

The trains will consist of the following classes:
- Two AC 2-Tier Coaches
- Two AC 3-Tier Coaches
- Six Sleeper Class Coaches
- Six General Second Class/Chair Car Coaches
- One General Second-Class Coach
- Guard’s Brake Van
- Generator Van

Ticket bookings for these special trains will be open from December 20, 2024. Tickets can be reserved via the nearest reservation center or online at IRCTC’s website.
