Pune: SUV Flips After Crashing Into Maruti Dzire On Pashan Sus Road, No Injuries Reported
A major accident occurred in Pune on Thursday evening around 5:30 PM near the Reliance Fresh store on Sus-Pashan Road, when a Gloster SUV allegedly collided with multiple vehicles before finally colliding with a Maruti Dzire that caused it to flip over.
The impact of the crash caused the SUV to flip over, leading to panic among onlookers. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the Gloster had already hit multiple vehicles in Sus village before the final collision.
Despite the severity of the crash, no injuries or fatalities were reported. Residents in the area have raised concerns about the lack of speed breakers on the road, highlighting the danger posed, especially with a nearby school lane. Witnesses also reported that a school bus narrowly avoided being hit during the chaos.
The Baner Police quickly responded to the scene and initiated the process of filing a case. The driver of the luxury SUV was apprehended and a medical examination was conducted, confirmed Deputy Police Commissioner Sambhaji Kadam. The crash caused significant damage to all the vehicles involved, with the front end of the accused vehicle completely destroyed. Fortunately, no fatalities occurred.
Authorities have been urged to address safety concerns in the area to prevent future incidents. A large crowd had gathered at the scene, but the police managed the situation effectively, ensuring no further mishaps.
