Pune: Traffic Advisory – Key Roads Closed, Routes Diverted Ahead of PM Modi’s Rally on Nov 12; Check Details
Pune, November 11, 2024: Pune Traffic Police has announced important road diversions for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pune on Tuesday, November 12 for a rally. The rally is scheduled to take place at SP College Ground and several route diversions and road closures have been arranged to ensure smooth traffic for the Prime Minister’s convoy.
Key Traffic Changes:
Ban on heavy vehicles: Heavy vehicles will be banned on 13 major roads during the event to avoid traffic disruptions.
One-way traffic on Kelkar Road: Only one-way traffic will be allowed on Kelkar Road from Tilak Chowk to Bhide Bridge junction. Vehicles will take a left turn at Z Bridge and a right turn at Bhide Bridge junction.
Direct access restriction: Access from Garud Ganpati Chowk to Bhide Bridge Chowk will be restricted, and vehicles on the alternate route will be directed to take a left turn at Garud Ganpati Chowk and a U-turn at Tilak Chowk. In addition, direct access from Deccan to Kelkar Road via Bhide Bridge will also be restricted. Motorists have been instructed to take a left turn after Bhide Bridge and take the River Side Road.
Details of Closed Roads:
The route from Phadke Chowk to Nath Pai Chowk will remain closed, and Nilayam Bridge and Singhagad Road will be used as alternate routes.
Access to Ambil Odha Junction will be restricted from Babura Ghule Road, and traffic will be redirected towards Joggers Park Road and Shastri Road.

Heavy vehicles will be banned on the following roads:
- Solapur Road
- Ahmednagar Road
- Alandi Road
- Old Pune-Mumbai Highway
- Aundh Road
- Baner Road
- Pashan Road
- Paud Road
- Karve Road
- Singhagarh Road
- Satara Road
- Saswad Road
- Lohegaon Road
