The counting of votes for Maval Lok Sabha Constituency, amidst General Elections 2024, will take place at Balewadi Stadium on June 4, 2024. With a large number of political party activists expected to gather, traffic congestion is anticipated in the area.

To ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the vote counting, changes to traffic routes and parking arrangements have been ordered by Vishal Gaikwad, Deputy Commissioner Traffic, Pimpri Chinchwad Police.

Road Closures and Alternate Routes

On June 4, 2024, from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM, the road in front of Balewadi Stadium Main Gate will be closed to all vehicles from Uttam Sweets (Puneri Sweets) Chowk to Mhalunge Police Chowki.

  • Alternate Route 1: Vehicles coming from Chande-Nande and Mhalunge will take a right turn at Uttam Sweet (Puneri Sweet) Chowk and from Mhalunge Police Chowki, proceed towards Radha Chowk and towards the desired destination.
  • Alternate Route 2: Vehicles coming from Radha Chowk should take a left turn at Mhalunge Police Chowki, proceed to Mhalunge Village, Chande-Nande, and continue to their destination.

Additionally, access between Mhalunge Gaon and Radha Chowk will be closed to heavy vehicles during the same period.

  • Alternate Route for Heavy Vehicles:
    • Vehicles from Chande Nande should take a left turn from Godrej Circle and proceed to Hinjawadi via Maan.
    • Vehicles from Baner Road and the National Highway should take a right turn from Radha Chowk, proceed to Hinjawadi, and onwards via Wakad Naka.

Parking Arrangements

  • Parking 1: The road between Mhalunge Police Chowki and Uttam Sweet (Puneri Sweet) Chowk is reserved for Mahavikas Aghadi workers. Their vehicles will be parked in the open space behind Khandoba Mandir, accessible from Radha Chowk.
  • Parking 2: The service road from Orchid Hotel Highway Gate to Mula Nadi Bridge is reserved for Maha Yuti workers, with parking arrangements along this service road.
  • Parking 3: Parking for candidates and workers from other parties is arranged at Madhyamik Vidyalaya Mhalunge.

These traffic diversions and parking arrangements will be in effect from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM on June 4, 2024, or until the congestion eases.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period.
