Pune: Traffic changes announced near Shimla Office Chowk from May 17 for Metro Work

As a part of the ongoing construction of Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line 3, girder launching and pillar work will be carried out near Shimla Office Chowk at Shivajinagar. To facilitate this work and smooth flow of traffic during this time, DCP Rohidas Pawar has announced traffic changes effective from May 17 till further notice.

1. Veer Chafekar Chowk to Na Ta Wadi-K. B. Joshi Marg Chowk to Shimla Office Chowk (ST. Stand Road) is being made one way for all vehicles. Entry to Shimla Office Chowk from Veer Chafekar flyover will remain closed.

Alternate route – Take left side service road of Veer Chafekar flyover -Na Ta Wadi and then turn right to reach Shimla Office Chowk.

2. Entry from Fergusson College Road, Veer Chafekar Chowk to Shimla Office Chowk from will remain closed.

Alternate route – From Veer Chafekar Chowk head straight to Na Ta Wadi Chowk and then turn right to Shimla Office Chowk.

3. Entry from Na Ta Wadi Chowk to Chaphekar Chowk will remain closed

Alternate route – From Na Ta Wadi Chowk, turn left straight to Shimla Office Chowk and then turn right towards Veer Chafekar Chowk.

4. Entry from Barve Chowk to Shimla Office Chowk to Shivajinagar Railway Station will remain closed.

Alternate route – From Shimla Office Chowk take a left turn to Veer Chafekar Chowk then turn right turn to Na Ta Wadi Chowk and turn right to Shivajinagar Railway Station.

6. Road from Shivajinagar Railway station towards Na Ta Wadi via ST Stand Circle will be closed.

Alternate route: Vehicles going towards Savitribai Phule Pune University from Shimla Chowk should take Veer Chafekar flyover from LIC side. Veer Chafekar Chowk to No. h Wadi.

7. No parking for all vehicles on Veer Chafekar Chowk to Na Ta Wadi to Shimla office road.

Commuters are requested to note and plan their travel accordingly.
