A key meeting held on Thursday included prominent officials such as Aniruddha Pawaskar, Head of the Road Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation; Dr. Yogesh Mhase, Metropolitan Commissioner; Dr. Gajanan Ekbote, Executive President of the PES Society; and Chief Engineer Rinaz Pathan. Dr. Ekbote revealed that an agreement has been finalized for land acquisition and compensation.

Approximately 4,000 square feet of land from the Modern College campus, currently housing a botanical garden, canteen, and classrooms, will be utilized for the ramp. The botanical garden, home to various indigenous and exotic plant species, will see its trees safely transplanted to another location within the college premises.

The PES Society is set to submit details about compensation and alternative arrangements to PMRDA by January 27, 2025. A formal agreement has been signed, and the land acquisition process has been given the green light.
