Pune: Traffic Curbs Announced on Pune-Ahilyanagar Highway Starting Dec 31
Pune, December 30, 2024: Temporary traffic diversions will be implemented on Pune-Ahilyanagar Highway No. 60 starting 5 PM on December 31, 2024, to manage the anticipated crowd for the Vijaystambh tribute programme at Perne (Haveli) on January 1, 2025.
The traffic restrictions will remain in effect until midnight on January 1, as per acting district magistrate Santosh Patil’s directives.
Revised Traffic Plan:
- Complete Closure for All Vehicles: Both lanes between Chakan and Shikrapur will remain fully closed for vehicular movement during the specified period.
- Heavy Vehicles Diversion Routes:
- From Ahilyanagar Towards Pune-Mumbai: Vehicles will be routed via Shirur, Nhavara Phata, Nhavara, Pargaon, Chauphula, Yavat, and Hadapsar.
- From Pune to Ahilyanagar: Traffic will be diverted from Kharadi bypass through Hadapsar on the Pune-Solapur Highway, then via Chauphula, Kedgaon, Nhavara, and Shirur to reach Ahilyanagar.
- From Solapur Highway to Alandi or Chakan: Trucks and tempos will follow the Hadapsar, Magarpatta, Kharadi bypass route, passing through Vishrantwadi to reach Alandi or Chakan.
Authorities have urged commuters to adhere to the revised routes to avoid inconvenience during the restrictions.
