The bus (registration number MH 14 GU 3405) was traveling from Lohegaon, Pune, to Birwadi in Mahad for a wedding ceremony. The accident happened between 9:30 and 9:50 AM when the driver struggled to navigate a dangerous bend on the Pune-Dighi highway, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn.

The injured were transported to Mangaon’s sub-district hospital for immediate medical attention. A POSCO ambulance was also dispatched to assist with on-site treatment.
