Pune: Woman dies due to head injury in two-wheeler accident in Kondhawa, husband injured
Pune, November 18, 2023: In a tragic accident involving a two-wheeler, a woman aged 46 years lost her life to a severe head injury while her husband sustained injuries during an accident recently.
A woman died in a speeding two-wheeler accident, while her husband who was driving the bike was injured. This accident took place in TilakeNagar area of ​​Kondhwa on Tuesday, November 12.
The deceased woman has been identified as Punitadevi Vijayakumar Singh (age 46, resident of Venkatesh Galaxy Apartment, Kamthe Patilnagar, Kondhwa). Vijaykumar Shivmangal Singh (age 53) was injured in this accident. He is being treated in the hospital.
Police officer Bipin Suryavanshi filed a complaint in this regard. A case has been registered against her husband Vijayakumar in Kondhwa Police Station. According to the police, Vijayakumar along with his wife Punitadevi was passing through Tilekarnagar area on a two-wheeler.
At that time of the accident, the bike fell due to sudden braking. Due to this, Vijayakumar and Punitadevi who was sitting on the back seat fell down. In this accident, Punitadevi got a serious injury on her head. The police took both of them to Sassoon Hospital. However Punitadevi succumbed to her injuries during the treatment. Police sub-inspector Pooja Patil is conducting further investigation.
