Reliance JioBook: An affordable laptop priced around 20K, with always on 4G connectivity, to be launched on July 31

PuneNow, July 25, 2023: Indian telecom giant Reliance Jio is ready to take the Indian laptop market by storm with the introduction of JioBook 4G, set to launch on July 31. The launch was teased on Amazon, featuring the laptop’s cutting-edge features and all-age functionality.

The new JioBook, geared to provide ‘productivity, entertainment and play’, boasts an always-on 4G connectivity feature. It ensures fast, uninterrupted Internet access, whether you’re at home or on the move. Its fan-less, lightweight design (weighing a mere 990 grams) aims to provide portability without compromising on performance.

The JioBook comes packed with an Octa-core processor and features a user-friendly interface, complete with pre-installed apps and menu systems. The laptop, teased in a sleek blue body with minimalist Jio branding on the lid, seems to sport significant bezels.

While there are no official details regarding the specifications and price from the company yet, the market anticipates a competitive pricing model similar to the first JioBook’s range of around ₹20,000.

Amazon’s microsite for the upcoming laptop, equipped with a ‘Notify Me’ button, reveals that the new JioBook will run on the JioOS operating system and come with a host of pre-loaded apps, including JioMeet, JioSecurity, and JioCloud. The laptop is expected to be available in two colours: Blue and Grey.

Reliance Jio has been carving a niche for itself in the laptop market since its first JioBook launch in October 2022. The new JioBook launch follows the unveiling of the Jio Bharat 4G platform in July – an initiative to expand 4G coverage across India. To support this vision, Reliance Jio launched the internet-enabled Jio Bharat Phones, priced at Rs 999.
