Schools closed in Pune, Raigad, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane on July 09 due to heavy rain prediction by IMD

All schools will remain closed in Pune, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and Thane on July 9 due to the prediction of heavy rain by IMD.

Pune District collector Dr. Suhas Diwase has ordered all schools till class 12 and junior colleges to remain closed on July 9 due to the prediction of heavy rain by IMD.

Additionally all schools and colleges have been ordered to remain closed in Raigad, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane by Government of Maharashtra on July 09.

The decision aims to prevent any untoward incidents and to ensure the safety of students amid the anticipated heavy rainfall.

The district administration has urged people not to venture out of their homes unless necessary. Further an advisory has been issued not to go near waterfalls and ghat areas.

This measure is intended to minimize risks and ensure public safety during the severe weather conditions expected on Tuesday.
