Three districts in Maharashtra on red alert for very heavy to extremely heavy rain tomorrow, Aug 04
IMD has issued a red alert for three districts in Maharashtra on Sunday, August 04 for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.
Districts on Red Alert on August 04
IMD predicts extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas, heavy to moderate rain in plains of Palghar, Pune and Satara districts. These districts are on red alert for August 04 and yellow or green alert thereafter till Aug 07.
Vidarbha Districts
Most of the districts in Vidarbha region have been placed on yellow alert with the forecast of rain, thunderstorm and lightening till August 07.
Marathwada Districts
All the districts in Marathwada are on green and yellow alert with light rain, thunderstorm, lightening and heavy rain at a few places.
Konkan Districts
The entire Konkan region including Mumbai, Raigad and Thane, is on orange alert till August 04 and yellow and green alert there after. The range alert says, heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.
North Maharashtra (Khandesh) Districts
All districts in this region are on yellow or green alert with light to moderate rain except Nashik, which is on orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas. Light to moderate rain in plains.
West Maharashtra (Desh Districts)
Satara, Sangli and Solapur are generally on yellow and green alert till August 07, meaning light to moderate rain except Kolhapur, which is on orange alert for very heavy rainfall today, August 03. About Pune, the forecast has already been given in the begining.
Citizens are advised to plan their activities keeping the weather patterns in mind, especially the districts with red alert.
