Today, on November 11, 2024, Vistara Airlines will take its last flight, after which the company will merge with Air India. From November 12, Vistara will operate completely under the Air India brand. People are sharing their last travel experience with Vistara on social media, which makes it clear that this airline has made a special place in the hearts of passengers.

Vistara Airlines started as a joint venture of Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. Vistara’s merger with Air India was announced in November 2022 and since then Vistara has gradually started limiting its bookings. After this merger, Singapore Airlines will have a 25.1 percent stake in the newly combined Air India, which will further strengthen its presence in the Indian aviation sector.

Many passengers praised Vistara while sharing their experiences on social media. One user wrote, “Grateful to have experience Vistara on its final day of operations—a brand that truly delivered on its promise of ‘a new feeling’ in travel. Vistara is one of the few brands which overlapped brand promise with brand delivery so seamlessly.” Similarly, another user wrote that the flight crew members were also emotional about the last day, and the popular Bollywood song “Kal Ho Na Ho” was also played during landing.

Many passengers praised the dedication and services of Vistara’s crew. A user shared a screenshot of Club Vistara’s email and wrote, “Vistara, why are you breaking up with me?” This clearly shows that passengers had a special connection with this brand.

An emotional message was also posted on Vistara’s official X account, “As the plane ascends, so do our dreams; let’s glide toward the future, where the sky isn’t the limit, but just the beginning,” This message reflects the brand’s thinking and the emotional connection with passengers.

Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan said that this merger with Air India is an effort to provide more options to passengers. After the merger, Vistara and Air India will have a wide network and a large fleet, which will provide better services to passengers and make the travel experience even more excellent.

While there is an emotional feeling among passengers due to the closure of Vistara’s services, this brand has created a new identity in the Indian aviation industry. This new chapter with Air India promises to bring positive changes to the Indian air travel sector.
