Wipro Makes 3-Days Work From Office Mandatory for Employees With New Hybrid Policy
Wipro, a multinational company in IT service, has formally implemented its new hybrid work policy, requiring that employees spend at least three days of their working week in the offices. The company’s decision has marked a turn in the strategy involving workplace dynamics.
Wipro New Hybrid Working Policy
Wipro employees must spend at least three days in office every week from next month as the outsourcing company steps up its strategy to nurture high-performing work culture while assuring well-being of its work force.
Speaking on the rationale of the new work model, Saurabh Govil, Chief Human Resources Officer at Wipro posted in LinkedIn: “At Wipro, we have taken a modern approach to the future of work – one that focuses equally on the well-being of our associates while being a high-performing culture driven by collaboration ,” said Govil.
Why Wipro’s work from office mandate matters
Collaboration and Innovation: Face-to-face interaction at the workplace is the best way to encourage collaboration, creativity, and solutions to problems. Much flexible yet accountable and responsible, Wipro encourages work-life balance.
Employee Support: Wipro supports the request of employees for remote work on certain days, mainly for health reasons or family commitments.
Flexibility with Accountability: While office attendance is mandatory three days a week, provision for working from home can be made as per individual or medical requirements.
Disciplinary Action: Wipro shall ensure strict compliance with the policy. Non compliance thereafter shall be subject to disciplinary action effective January 7, 2024, thereby underpinning the value of the new way of work in the culture.
The new policy will allow work to be done harmoniously and fruitfully at a workplace by making office collaboration married with flexibility in working from home. Boldly, Wipro has initiated a work-from-office scheme that forms part of the week, making it a modern approach toward an adaptive change in the way work is executed to support its employees and business model in the workforce today.
