Yet Again! Pune Records Another Coldest Day of the Season as Temperature Drops to 9.5°C for the Fourth Consecutive Day
Pune experienced its coldest day of the season today, with the temperature dropping to a chilly 9.5°C at Shivajinagar. This marks the fourth consecutive day of declining temperatures, with Pune witnessing its lowest reading in the month of November in the last four years.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature has been steadily falling, and today’s low is the lowest so far this season. The National Defence Academy (NDA) recorded an even lower temperature of 10°C, while Ahilyanagar also reported 9.5°C. Other areas in Maharashtra are also feeling the chill, with Lonavala being relatively warmer at 17.7°C. Ahmednagar recorded 8.3°C, and Jeur, in the state’s interior, saw the lowest temperature in Maharashtra at 6°C.

- Solapur: 12.8°C
- Nanded: 11.3°C
- Ratnagiri: 17.3°C
This cold spell is expected to ease starting tomorrow, with a deep depression forming over the southwest Bay of Bengal. The weather system is likely to move northwestwards and weaken by November 30. As this system moves, moisture is expected to rise, bringing an increase in temperatures across parts of Maharashtra. Pune’s minimum temperature is expected to rise to 12-13°C around December 3-4.
